About Me

Hello, I'm Cambrie Laymance and I'm part of the '24 cohort for the Multimedia track of the Professional Writing Minor at UC Santa Barbara.

As a marketing intern at Island View Outfitters and a peer mentor at Mentor Collective, I've developed strong design and interpersonal skills that benefits my work in the minor, my Sociology major, and creative side projects.

Helping underserved communities has always been a passion of mine, and I believe we need to use resources given by the current technological age to ensure everyone is granted basic necessities. In fact, that drove me to not only sharpen my writing, but to do so in the context of multimedia to grow my support methods across mediums and reach more people.

My values have set me apart through the ability to empathize with clients, which helps me to understand and meet their needs. This gained me an invite for another term at my internship with a promotion to a marketing intern from content creation, resulting from increased engagement due to connections I built between the business and customers.

I'm excited to continue building these skills and values to reach my aspiration to contribute development for non-profit programs and case plans in the future, and that you're joining me on this journey!
